The Armenian Radio Public Archive is the premiere destination for music lovers and history buffs. Since 1937, the Public Radio has preserved comprehensive archives of all programming released on this most iconic radio station. From Paruyr Sevak reading his own poetry, Haykanush Danielyan performing Hovhannes Toumanian’s Anoush Opera, to rare interviews with influentials such as Avetik Isahakyan, Aram Khachatoorian, William Saroyan, Karen Demirchyan and more, the archive has it all.

Beginning from the USSR Armenian Soviet Socialist Republic and continuing to the current Republic of Armenia, the archive chronicles the changes and historical moments realized by this small yet cultural rich nation. The digitization process began in 2016 and is a passion project for the Armenian Public Radio. With the belief that the population of Armenia has much to learn from it’s past, the station went on an endeavor to digitize the hundreds and thousands of reel to reels, tapes, CDs, and vinyls in its collection. Efforts continue and each piece is uploaded to the archive once digitized.
